scary look

@se38 isn't that scary... or is it?

@se38 For me it's XML in general. My sympathy goes to those working with PI

@MikeElgan "too many tacos" are three words that should never go together.

@MikeElgan haha sorry, he's the most famous Mexican Formula 1 racing driver of this decade, that's why the waiters wear those Red Bull racing t-shirts.

@MikeElgan It's a good thing that the waiters are Checo Perez fans

@redfrog “I see!” Said the blind man. “Job applications as a data source for -corporations-, I mean, technologies“. Interesting...

This a very good reflection of one of my favourite stories.

P.s. There might be a YouTube version coming soon.

@eleventyone@mas.to @jim_i_am I agree. I have been here for only a few years and even I can notice the effort towards improving the bike and walking paths. We are not in Norway for sure, but I feel some things are changing for the best.

I have only watched this one time, but this has very good points that make me want to watch it again.

It was quite and everything seemed to fit together, but I never noticed the subtle references and how the whole was masterfully done.

On the 4th of January 1960, the great Albert Camus died in a car accident. My birthday is today and, to commemorate the 4th of January, I always read something written by Camus. Today, I share with you one of the most famous quotes from Albert Camus, found in "Return to Tipasa":

“In the middle of winter I at last discovered that there was within me an invincible summer.”

Looking for people who know something about early computing, especially in the Netherlands. Please boost and help me solve the mystery of this custom made plate that used to belong to my grandfather Bram Jan Loopstra, one of the pioneers of Dutch computing. What do the pictures mean?

Has anyone used the (a.k.a. )?

How did you learn it? I am trying to learn by myself, but the learning process highly recommends taking classes with a coach/trainer. Is it really worth it?

I have also found that the exercises are aimed towards a approach, so have you used it with a highly / approach like ?

As a reference, I'm following the for the 21st century (softwareexcellencealliance.org) but there are also materials for the whole thing:

* PSP for Engineers - softwareexcellencealliance.org
* PSP Fundamentals - softwareexcellencealliance.org

(It's also difficult to understand which one to select. There are overlaps in both versions)

I read the book from W. S. Humphrey but I found it somewhat difficult to follow after the first few chapters.

I know most developers know that curl can be used for all types of HTTP requests but you can also use curl to talk in many different protocols.

Twelve years ago, I was writing an async service that checked tens of thousands of IMAP servers in production for new messages via IDLE commands in Scala and while setting up a productive development and testing environment I had to inspect my tens of high frequency test mailboxes locally via scripts (not using my own code) and used #curl.
