So apparently this restaurant im ordering from has "bottled water" for $2.00 and "Homemade Fresh Water" for $2.50

This opens up a lot of questions for me...

@gioypi I think something is being lost in translation, its a mexican restaurant, but I dont know what...

@freemo @gioypi My Spanish is pretty terrible, but I think the word for "homemade" is the same or nearly the same as the word for "artisanal." That would be my guess.

@curt

That would make some sense.. They also seem to call it "Agua Fresca" under the category of "homemade fresh water".. which i took to just mean "fresh water"

FYI

"Aguas frescas (Spanish for "cool waters", or literally "fresh waters") are light non-alcoholic beverages made from one or more fruits, cereals, flowers, or seeds blended with sugar and water. They are popular in Mexico, Central America and the United States. Some of the more common flavors include tamarind, hibiscus, and horchata."

@freemo @Dubby @curt @gioypi Agua de Jamaica is a favorite of mine. Good stuff, but often loaded with way too much sugar for my taste.
