@freemo I have no idea, but I assume it was in the deep south where he grew up and went to college on the GI bill in the 50's. I can't ask him, sorry, he's been gone for awhile.

@louisrcouture You'd have to join at your local lodge. But yea its pretty easy to get in :)
@freemo oh bummer I've looked at the great lodge of Quebec and they say you have to believe in a supreme being. I'm an agnostic.
@louisrcouture Yea, atheists cant join.. agnostics, probably not. The supreme being requirement can be anything you want. It is forbidden to discuss religion at the lodges so you will never be asked what religion you are, but they do expect you to believe in something.

What about believing in science? The way some antivaxxers treat it, it sure is some 'supreme being' to be avoided. :P

@freemo My father joined (or started to join, it's not clear) the freemasons in college. He decided it was the stupidiest mumbo-jumbo thing he ever experienced. Didn't recommend it. Let me know if he was right.
