@stroz
Two points and more deeper reasoning after if wanted:
TLDR: 1/ Doesn't work with "old" browsers...
2/ Google tracking on site / Google Statistics
ironic no?
=============
END OF TLDR
=============
The rest below is mainly for point 1/
ZeroTrace does not work with "older" browser like #mypal which is really just simpler / safe browser in some way and anyway bad for older #generation or simpler users
- People are also making their own browser too btw like @alcinnz - so helps help make it #simple)...
Don't want to say it but the "new" browsers are too full of "IT" - meaning extra problems / "clever" stuff added / stuff we can't see. Good not to jump in bed with them... at all sometimes.
Basic tech is so important so something even 10years back should work in some form towards that (and not blame 'it's insecure without SOME reasoning) and not force people on Firefox 999 from that laziness
(It's #Firefox 100+ already now for and we saw how amazing less it was right from 50-70, so it is crazy and not just fear etc. It's evident whose behind a lot of all of it...
With more to come I'm sure as a regular cutting off / culling / disabling of sites as condition to using other 'secure' sites they like to validate.
As #basic as possible = inclusive / working long-term (am I wrong?)
As close to #HTML (---ish) tech
(OK OK not saying HTML but seriously closer to that) so all this #bloat can at least have fall-back when the time comes and back to basic ways instead of nothing like #banks have)... Real war is coming (and that means regression #war too).
#AdobeFlash or #AJAX whatever 'useful' scroll menus can all take a #fallback approach (like pagination) and jump off a cliff to do the raw basics instead of super-fast-car-crash memory-hogs all the time.
That way if you *don't* have it you can still USE it (I know there is more to it and not best the best example but we all know it and experience how conditional things can get today and be lost / exclude people from all these new-new widget things when the old things actually worked and not too "rich" and flashy.
Am not under-cutting all the efforts done out there but we didn't want #Adobe Flash right and just had to do it differently.
All this plays into the hands of continuous 'new, new,new 5days=OLD' so "move on to our next drug - it's safer" approach by Google / #BigTech behind Firefox as sponsors or whatever you call it.
" Your browser is no longer supported etc..." we all see that in our lives... it's NOT good!
#zerotrace could work maybe without disabling it's own functions in the way I've described will happen in future.
Too much bloat already. Often it's the same site I surf but they put something to jam it of like the #xkcd #cartoon a small part that topples the whole thing.
To have #dependencies like this means stop using it because of browsers are basically patching their unwanted 'problems' so they 'patch' to #death what is actually useful (saw it in #Opera) so as they have done I believe it will continue...
Keep it simple. I can't use this.
Lots of browsers could be tested.
#MyPal is a strong 'old' Browser to test with by long-time pioneer of sorts #Feodor
https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68
And yeah there is a Google tracker on this zeroTrack site - Hmmm like there isn't #Pikwik or at least 3 other to choose from and support... bad shortcuts.
