Things that are imposed… rules, goals, etc…. May appear effective. Appearances are deceiving.

I've been observing leaders recently... they really are the problem in many cases.

I got $7.79 from folks who bought hardcopies of my books that are available under Creative Commons this week. That is $7.79 more than I have seen from my book I published traditionally.

If you are the person who always speaks whenever there is the chance to ask questions in meetings, you should know that most people don't listen to what you say, and if they do hear it, they don't care.

I am amazed at the number of people who claim to be advocates for inclusion who "don't need a microphone" in a large group.

I am worried about the teaching profession... I observed physical discomfort when the presenter said we should be concerned with learning more than with outcomes.

Sometimes AI does write funny tweets:

Just programmed my toaster to achieve sentience. Now it keeps arguing my toast is too burnt and needs to take over the kitchen.

Yeah... if you think the best use of AI is to catch students using AI to write your assignments, you don't understand AI... or teaching... or students.

I heard a colleague complain about the stressful morning they had preparing the data they were going to share. Friends, it was 10 slide with pie charts.

One thing I learned during 35 years in education: the folks who complain the most are the least competent.

The indignation at decisions makes me conclude you are just a whiner.

"Advances are rapid. Change is slow."

Sure, but in the time it takes to change, thea advances may become dangerous.

"We want your feedback. We will consider it for next time."

Yeah... we don't believe you.

Go into a classroom where students are using computers. Do you hear only mouse clicks? The teacher is doing it wrong.

Sometimes I look at my QWERTY keyboard and shake my head.

I worked for a year in a school that had at least one think-pair-share activity at every single meeting. I'm just getting over the trauma. There are other ways to do get folks.

Uncritical adoption.... uninformed rejection.

Neither is good.
