As an educational technology leader, I use teachers’ “complaints” as my cues as to what to “fix” first. Turns out those are often excuses, and they really don’t want ‘em fixed.

Science takes a deep look at an intuitive thought and questions it. Quackery finds proof intuition is right. Scientists understand the difference. Quacks do not.

One of the greatest lessons one learns as a doctoral student is to seriously question assumptions. This is not understood by those who haven’t gone through the experience (IMHO). It is also one of the least valued contributions those with doctorates can make to organizations.

Yeah, those "free times" you just asked me to provide... someone else claimed them in the time you were deciding the best time to schedule our meeting.

Listen carefully and you will hear IT say words that mean, “Yeah, I know that is a problem, but I told you how to fix it last week, so others whose problems have not been fixed are higher priority right now.”

You know those people who hang signs in their offices that say, “your failure to plan is not my emergency?” I get it.

The first step is analyzing data is recognizing your self-delusions.
