“Barriers to learning, whether they are institutional, technical, or pedagogical should be removed.” Identifying these can be difficult. Sometimes a mirror is the best tool.

Why, yes, we do know how to create “well-designed, learner-centered, and interactive learning environments;” but it seems we don’t for many reasons.

All information or technologies can be distracting, irrelevant, or unsavory. They don't have to be but they can be.

If you are threatened by emerging #technology or #innovation then you probably should be.

Make your work as usable and useful as it can possibly be.

Currently reading about science in authoritarian countries. Makes me worry about politicians who seek to control inquiry and research, but I worry more about the people who live where they do.
