Does basic knowledge have to be mastered before students can venture into knowledge innovations themselves? No.

Acknowledging bias is not a substitute for doing something to address it.

“The teacher’s role was to transmit knowledge and the learners’ responsibility was to accept and learn everything the teacher taught” Please notice this sentence is in the past tense.

“many people still regard the teaching process as relatively structured and based almost entirely on the presumed omniscience of the educator’s planning and on what teachers decide is good for students” I don't think this is true any more.

A reminder that if you think the answer is simple, then you do not understand the problem.

Remember when “scrolling down” meant kneeling to see the books on the bottom shelves?

When translated to “doing by the same thing in a different place,” then it really isn’t flexible.

Asking questions, then *hearing* the answers can be the most difficult task for ... actually... not dismissing uncomfortable answers is more difficult.

Questioning assumptions is hard, but you never really understand anything until you do.

When “internal turmoil” is widely-recognized as a barrier to organizational improvement... we are in trouble.

Educate the potential in students, not their present situation.

We hire for technical skills, but fire for behavioral issues.

When does “inspired by” become “ripped off from?” asked the student.
