it is raining again. Time for some to try an entertain these bored kiddos. Which are your favourites for young ? We like , , and . Games with tactile pieces get the kids most engaged. So dragon’s breath is a big hit too. Lots to love by , , and

@girls_can My 7 year old really likes these two, both having to do with stacking.

And the whole family enjoys The Haunted Mansion as well. Great set collection that even my 7 year old can understand.

@boardgamebreakdown those look great. The unicorn cloud stack seems very up their alley. A fun dexterity game.

@girls_can There's another Unicorn Glitterluck game she likes but has no dexterity component. It's more of a standard roll and move but the unicorn theme really speaks to her, lol

@girls_can My 8-year-old nieces had a lot of fun with Spot It! at our place recently. More pattern-matching than dexterity, but the speed and pointing aspects kept them engaged for probably 20-30 min over many rounds.

@htdrake spot it looks like a fun party-style card matching game, like snap but with a twist! Thanks for the suggestion.

@girls_can Yep! And the cards are really well done to make it just the right level of challenge. I can't count the number of times I've looked a a pair of cards, sworn there are no matches, and then it pops right out at me.

@girls_can we used to like Kinder Catan and Gula Gula. I played a simple version of Royal Turf with them too, because they liked rolling dice and moving the little horses

@jda oh what’s gula gula? We have some junior versions of things (ticket to ride, monopoly, anomia) but they’re still to young to play those. Ones like and Stories of The Three Coins don’t require reading but the game play is a bit complex for the 4 y old twins. I suspect it will be a few years before we could manage Junior , though that will be fun! I’m also excited to bust out and when they’re older.

@girls_can sorry, it's called Gulo Gulo and it is a fun game of removing colorful eggs trying to avoid having the straw fall over.:

@jda oh that looks super fun. The colourful eggs and the Catan-like tiles.
