Any pundit who is criticizing Pres. Zelenskyy's attire is failing to read the room, but moreover, they're just completely missing the point.

A country and its leader under immediate and existential threats have no time for suits and neckties.

He has no visible rank or medals or nametapes or epaulets or brass buttons or starched creases. He's wearing what women and men who are fighting on the frontlines in Ukraine are wearing.

He's wearing the urgency of the moment.

That's the point.

Gotta love tech journalists who describe Mastodon as "that impossible-to-use website." First of all, it's an app. C'mon. Second of all, aren't these the same people who write breathless explainers about the wonder of cryptocurrencies, which are not only impossible to understand but literally built from bullshit?

I have a fairly serious #solar setup on my roof. 20 Blue panels, 17 Black panels, 2 inverters, for a total of around 11.4KW, But because the blue panels are old, let's just call it 10KW.
Since both inverters are new from February, it has generated 11.5 MEGAWATTHOURS. It's not bad, and it has dramatically reduced my power bills, but it has not zeroed it. Mainly because I have an absurd amount of night usage, or because the wholesale feed in tariff is rubbish. (I'm with an energy wholesaler)
In the fourth image, you can see my blue night usage, and my yellow feed out to grid. I could probably eliminate my night usage if I could afford a battery to store my power to use at night, rather than feeding the excess out, but, I can't afford one of those for another 4 years, as that's when i will have finally paid off the financing on getting the panels.

I thought Ukrainian President Zelensky’s speech - in English - to Congress was terrific and inspiring. His presentation to of a battle flag signed by Ukrainian troops and receipt of an American flag from Speaker Pelosi was a brilliant gesture.
