"The Zen of Python", a mantra that appears as you run the following:
>>> import this

@icedquinn damn, I need to try this. It is wonderful that I learn something about Emacs almost everyday, even after using it for a couple of years.

@icedquinn are there Emacs functions that really don't work on Windows?

I'm a bit surprised about the fact that Scribus can import markdown files. Now I can edit the text and apply formatting at the same time from Emacs, with all the power this implies, such as moving by sentences or words, having the undo-tree extension, and swiper to search text using regular expressions.

I just fixed a couple of annoying bugs in my heavily patched window manager (dwm). I had to edit a couple of lines in the source and introduce an if statement somewhere else... I can't believe I couldn't find the solution before.

If a server doesn't allow rsync, but does allow sftp, you might try using sshfs to mount the remote filesystem then running rsync locally to keep a local mirror updated with the remote.
sshfs remoteserver: ~/localmount
rsync -av ~/localmount/subdir/ /mirror/subdir/

@2ck I always hated this thing of having 2 python versions in many GNU/Linux distributions, and the old one being the default.

Today I spent some time doing some research on the history of the awk program. I was a bit concerned by the fact that it was privative software. On GNU/Linux we actually run gawk, which is the GNU version, and it turns out it is the only implementation that takes locales seriously. It also apparently includes a debugger and some features not found in awk nor nawk.

Holy Sh** #Microsoft has installed the simplest backdoor in your #Linux VMs without you knowing about it.

Microsoft Azure silently install management agents on your Linux VMs without an auto update mechanism, so you have to update manually but you don't know they exist because you didn't install them? 🤔

Simply remove the auth header and you are root. Remotely on all machines.🤯
