whose idea was it to put rolling office chairs so near the steps on the USS Excelsior's bridge, problematic even outside of combat #startrek

The sun is clearly evil. Sources:
1. Big ball of fire
2. Big ball of fire in the sky, it's always up there
3. You're not allowed to look at it
4. If you take a picture of it, it'll just be a yellowish white circle. You need extra special equipment to even know what it looks like
5. It regularly sees almost everything on the earth, it's always watching
6. So powerful that it turns the moon (a rock) into a fucking mirror that lights up the earth even when the sun can't be there in person

@jayrope yeah I just use a /fonts directory and have /fonts/font-family/... on their respective local websites. Then the files are modularized and can be cloned, deleted or added to project to project easily.
The same principles apply for why a person might host their own javascript libraries like jquery, lightbox or other assets.

@jayrope Access & file structure on remote servers can change at any moment.

Besides being a privacy trojan-horse, it was always bad practice in my opinion and just opening yourself up for a potential future failure.

I hate fixing code problems created by moving targets.

@coolbsd which one reaction emoticons or spam? I'm aware of user spam filters to filter out users or domains already.

I think someday the will have " filters" a person can subscribe to -- like Email. Different filters for different people looking to filter out different content.

It would be nice too if there were reaction emoticons so content could be categorized easier.

@10leej @coolbsd PostmarketOS uses one called $apk, because phone typing is difficult, commands are short like `sudo apk add my_package`

@coolbsd It takes a lot of time, from a R&D perspective I think I spent 4 days just installing and testing apps in their repo, figuring out the flashing process & documenting my processes. The slow speed of the phone really slows it down, but there is something exciting about a new and promising space for to grow. is pretty good vs the others in my opinion, I just wish their package manager was a little more robust like Arch's pacman

The original model of the U.S.S. Enterprise and the men who built it, Richard C. Datin, Jr., Mel Keys, and Vernon Sion, on the day it was delivered to Desilu Productions. December, 1964. [1,600 x 900]

@feditrends seems like hashtags should be posted as hashtags so they can be clicked on.

@alcinnz
I thought and dropped version numbers similar to how is infinitely extensible. Seeing how is a rethink on scope and as a 20y dev I would think it would make more sense to simply replace HTML with other markup languages that have clearly defined use cases, scope and meet specific objectives.

@pheonix
If I was a modder I would definitely merge the classic and present tech. Maybe throw in a digitizer to make it touch screen just to add a surreal techno feel.
