Depending on the crowd, you're not missing out.

The last party I went to wasn't fun. Especially when it was primarily byob and someone decided to bring a shitton of alcohol and give it to a select few.

I'd like to go to a party, but I'd like to feel comfortable knowing I might have something small in common with them beforehand. I've had conversations with random people at bars- so it shouldn't be _that_ hard.

_shouldnt be_

Fedi is the most strange thing in the world.

On normal social media, you write a message and people just ignore it forever.

Here, you write a message, it stays ignored for 1 or 2 years, and then all of a sudden, for no reason, with no explanation, someone finds it somehow, boosts it, and it gets 200 likes and 120 boosts.

What the fuck.

I'm sure someone will boost this message in 2021 or 2022.

Although I'm all-for people changing their legal names to whatever makes them feel comfortable, I _do_ have logical reservations on certain cirumstances.

Your position on the matter basically highlights my preconceived notions against such recklessness :)

Got a phonecall interview at parent company I currently work at on Tuesday lunchtime.

Hope all goes well.

"The first step is to control and order our thinking. Too many of our failures yesterday were self-created by our own negative thinking. Sooner or later we are going to have to realize and accept that fact. The unhappy consequences of our own negative thinking are going to be presented in our lives repeatedly until finally we realize that we are punishing ourselves. Then we will begin to think positively always and our lives will begin to change. This is nature's way of teaching. It is simply a matter of will to control our thinking. It is just as easy to think that we shall succeed as to think that we shall fail. It is no more difficult to think that we will feel better than to think that we shall decline and feel worse. We need simply to decide whether to expect happiness and good things today, or unhappiness and disappointing experiences. Remember, we create, whether we like it or not!" Rosicrucian Manuscript

Just noticed that although there's new DL ep's 270+ on there isn't any on is there any plan updates in the future?

@trinsec
I have some long-term commitments that require a bit more time than 90 days to resolve. 6 months would be the soonest I could relocate. Unfortunately, I've been increasingly pressured into "right here, right now" situation- in contrast from the original 'remote, but centrally located'.

"Sorry if I miss communicated, there would not be a temporary remote portion. They are open to you coming on-site 50% of the time but they would need you to relocate as soon as you could. There is no requirement of how close or far you need to be from XXXXXX other than that if they need you to come in the following day; you'd be able to come in. Typically most of the team lives about 10-30 miles away from XXXX."

Welp, I can't travel across the the entire country just to get let go just before probationary period is over- there goes that job.
