China is trying to train them for useful skills needed in the 21st Century in educational camps, so that the unemployed youth don't become radicalized militants, which has happened. It's truly refreshing to see a progressive that realizes what is going on in Ukraine, is more than 'Human Rights' a euphemism for 'Gay Rights' in Russia and the other conservative Baltic countries. Which is why the west has so much support amongst progressives, whom, unfortunately, can't see the forest for the trees!
Gay rights are pretty much useless when/if a nuclear war breaks out. Like in as 'Who gives a shit, we're just trying to survive'!
