How else might we make these choices differently that tech giants have?

The fediverse can decentralize the economics while centralizing certain public squares.

The fediverse can decentralize power over identity and self-representation while centralizing shared blocklists.

The fediverse can decentralize server hosting while centralizing software development.

The fediverse can decentralize algorithms while centralizing public data.

Or whatever else. How should we be making these choices?

Many in #EU are starting to wake up to the fact that supporting #US #NATO Proxy War was great for American business and the Military Industrial Complex, but a disaster for the people of Europe. How long before our politicians cop on to themselves and stop the self destruction...?

Today is Sunday, 27 November 2022.

libreboot.org/ will go offline this evening, for a few hours, possibly into the morning of 28 November.

This is because I'm (physically, across town, on my bicycle) moving the servers to my new network. DNS changes gotta trickle down.

@niceontoast Mmm, depends re friendliness. There can be nasty sh*t and interactions. Pretty much like USEnet was in the early days. IMO of course. :-) I post about global politics, so it can lead to nasty reactions vis-à-vis zealots. But there are handy user facing blocking tools available.
Tanks too for the interaction - I'm friendlier than most people would often think. ;-)

@niceontoast D'oh I don't follow their news regularly and usually on Saturdays there's something. Thought they'd put something on for their long weekend. Guess next 1 isn't until nxt week. Sorry 4 the noise, LOL
