@stephenfry this is so funny and "straight" to the point (see what I did there?!).
Glad this is only satire!
I needed to sum up the #BGP basics, so I came up with these. Would you do it differently?
Hello everybody!
I'm a pandas core dev, and work on pandas as part of my job at Quansight
I've also authored a few code quality tools: nbQA, cython-lint, auto-walrus, and absolufy-imports

@engineeringdad love this quote!
Got a help request call from the team today while preparing dinner for the kids.
They were trying to recover remote management of a #cisco router and where at it for a few hours.
Finish making dinner (kids do come first ) and joined them in a call.
10min later we find a pesky "no exec" on the line vty! It had been there for at least 1 year!
Got to say it felt good being able to help
@trinsec good to know. I do think we should toot in any language we want, but having a quick way to translate is a must.
There is one thing I miss here in the #fediverse, a simple way to #translate a toot!
Mastodon: What you need to know for your security and privacy
If you’re leaving Twitter for Mastodon, here are some things you should know.

Please reblog/boost if you think this would help folks you know who are new to Mastodon. (Likes are appreciated, but won't help spread the advice)
@LouisIngenthron Good to know, won't lose time with that one!
On the other hand, "The playlist" about Spotify is really good.
@MrsDi Thanks for the suggestion Christina, didn't know about this site
The question is that we'll be using a terminal window to access the devices, so not sure this works, but I'll save it for a later project, this looks promising.
I love #automation, so when I have to look for a hostname, open a monitoring tool that takes about 15min (just to open) and confirm the hostname is there and the device is being monitored, it's a new opportunity to put my skills to the test!
The tool has no real automation, but I can get the output of a generic search in a CSV via e-mail... humm.
#Microsoft #flow to the rescue
I set a flow to upload the CSV file attached to the mail to a shared folder and, with a XLOOKUP in #Excel and some data importing, all done without touching anything else!
It's not that fancy but it works
@mkennedy Didn't notice you were the host of the Talk Python podcast
Love your podcast!
I hate doing repetitive tasks, so I decided to automate part of my tasks.
Between using #python, #bash, #expect and also Microsoft #flow, I usually get the jobe done.
Here are some of my latest projects:
OrIt - simple script to put an "or" between strings. Very useful for searches in ticketing tools
Clipboard cleaner - use this to get devices IP by copying specific text from specific xymon monitoring tool
Accedian toolset - a simple #python package to access Accedian devices remotely using #paramiko
These are just a few, I'll post more as I remember them
Born in the 70's and love the 80's (music and films).
Work for a teleco and my hobby is scripting. #Python is my thing but we'll always have #Assembly .
Repetitive boring tasks is not my thing, so I use #automation whenever possible mainly on my job but also at home.
I'm father of 3 kids and that's my real job, but I always find time to do something else.
