Tell me something interesting I don't know.

@gregeganSF I ran into a local who was in the same situation the other day. I reported the problem to Google Maps but I guess they don't fix these things in a timely manner.

@jbaggs @cfiesler the masses demand boring authenticity. AI covers the boring part perfectly!

@freemo @Gbudd I wonder what you want to use LaTeX for in your business. I would love to use it if someone could tell me how we can have multiple people edit and view the same document at the same time in the middle of a meeting.

@dpiponi 🤔 there's also the question of interbreeding, the whole thing turning into a caste system.

@dpiponi I have questions.
1. What if an N-robot makes a copy ("fork()") of itself? Is the result an N-robot or an (N+1)-robot?
2. Since they're identical at the time of cloning, are they both liable for the same crimes they may have committed before cloning?

@ottawasteph it looks bad to me from the trailers. Maybe it's because I'm French and aging. The music is ridiculous. The shooting at the pyramid we see in one of the trailers is just dumb. It makes me not expect anything interesting from the movie... but well, it's probably best to take it as it is and not fight it. It's only a movie.

@georgetakei how do you stop hate or rather, how do you prevent hate from developing in children? (and especially other people's children?)

Semi-wild Psilocybe cyanescens (wavy caps) and Psilocybe allenii have started to pop in large numbers in the Bay Area. This is the first week of the season with more than one rainy day. Harsh weather, I know.

@szescstopni yes, the slow-growing Ganodermas do that. See for example these monstrosities that people obtain by changing the orientation periodically: facebook.com/groups/1386696498 facebook.com/groups/1386696498

@freemo I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "cop out". Clearly, I don't want a hard rule to decide whether someone lives or die. Such a situation seems important and rare enough that it deserves serious pondering when it happens.

@freemo all decisions are based on how we imagine the future. My previous message was about confronting a past prediction with an actual outcome: "I made you live even though you didn't want it because I thought you'd feel better later. How are you now?"

@freemo it depends. Ask them later what they think.
