@freemo @funny @dogs that's exactly me to π
The reason it's me is because animals are innocent. They only want 1 thing in this world. To be loved.
They have no alternate motives, they just want to love and be loved. Full stop. (Domestic ones)
Humans on the other hand, lie, deceive, manipulate, kill for pleasure etc and usually get what's coming to them in those situations and it just didn't happen for no reason.

I had her from a fairly young age, I got her at 15/16 against my moms wishes (and had always wanted a dog growing up).. I literally went and got one the first week I had a license and a car to do so.. The story around that is a bit funny in its own right.
She lived 15 years, to an old pupperino, with sage wisdom and licks for all. But she was very near and dear to me, with all the emotional connection of a daughter, loosing her was like loosing any close relative and friend.
But yes, she passed after 15 years of smiles, this was soemthing like 7 or 8 years ago now, so the pain isnt as sharp, I just remember her with smiles and maybe a little water in my eyes but mostly happiness over having that time with her.
But yea its been 8 years and I still talk about her anytime I get the chance, I will be 100 years old and on my death bed and the nurse will tell me if i need anything and with my dying breaths I'll start with "Did I ever tell you about blue?"
It reminds me of the song Mr. Bojangles who also had a dog named Blue who died in his youth and for his whole life he would talk about Blue to everyone he met.
Here is the song along with a little spoken back story by Bromburg: https://youtu.be/50JBp71K5tw
"He spoke with tears of 15 years of how his dog and him traveled about. His dog up and died, ya know hsi dog up and died. After 20 years he still grieves." -- Mr. Bojangles

You have pics of blue?
I shared a few in this thread, and a little backstory on the pictures. I do have tons of others:
@freemo @torresjrjr @mur2501 @funny @dogs awesome! I didn't see those until now! Such a nice pup! Is that you?
No, I am a man, these are mostly women I have been close with. Attached are pics of her trying to cuddle me.. she was a professional cuddler as you can see :)
@freemo @torresjrjr @mur2501 @funny @dogs awesome pictures!
@mur2501
She was a character to say the least. How much attention she gave you was directly perportional to how new you were.. New people she insisted on hello cuddles for the whole time your over. She would eagerly await for the gues to sit somewhere and then nudge her nose under their leg or arm and force her way in for some cuddle time.
Also the more the new person seemed standoffish or even scared the harder she tried. If you had a fear of dogs or pitties she would put in twice the effort insisting she break you of your fear with endless cuddles :)
Some random attached pictures as evidence.
