Finished Horizon Zero Dawn. Very pretty, smooth controls.
The exposition can get a bit long in places, but there were some good plot twists. Mainly, though, it's a series of well-designed stealth/archery set pieces. #VideoGames
01.01. Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective: The Baker Street Irregulars
Final score = 100. Perfect 160 for our solution minus 60 for 12 leads more than Holmes. Our best score ever!
Our final discussion perfectly captured how this game should feel: Nailing down different aspects of the crime, each person contributing different insights that they remembered from the clues, until we had a complete and cohesive story.
#Board Games
Since our 2023 board game challenge was wide and shallow, we're going narrow and deep in 2024 with a 10x10.
We decided not to lock in all 10 titles up front so there is room for new discoveries.
We're also going to try to mix it up between games that have a campaign to create variety and games with strategic depth we want to explore.
No rules on when each title will be started / completed, or who / where / how we play, so long as we log 10 plays during 2024.
@htdrake @emmahunneyball Of the pseudo-RPGs we've played, I would probably rank Arkham Horror LCG > Near and Far > Sleeping Gods > 7th Continent > Earthborne Rangers.
#2875 2024
It wasn't originally constitutionally required, but presidents who served two terms have traditionally followed George Washington's example and gotten false teeth.

Lots of variety in December. Earthborne Rangers was a disappointment, and echoes: The Dancer was really more of an audio jigsaw puzzle than a game, but that was more than balanced out by the satisfaction of successfully completing our 2023 #BoardGamesAtoZ challenge.
That was exactly as advertised, but I misread the running time and we still have 45 minutes to kill (no pun intended).
A biker gang just passed us on the interstate. Most wore the traditional black leather, but the last rider was wearing a fur suit and antlers. #KeepPortlandWeird
