Путин отказался идти на уступки представителям политической элиты, которые пытались убедить его воздержаться от ужесточения блокировок интернета, сообщает The Guardian со ссылкой на два источника, знакомых с обсуждениями.

В частном порядке смягчения интернет-репрессий, которые продвигаются второй службой ФСБ, пытались добиться пресс-секретарь президента Дмитрий Песков и первый замглавы его администрации Сергей Кириенко, куратор внутренней политики. Однако успеха эти попытки не имели, сказали источники The Guardian.

«До тех пор пока война продолжается, Путин будет отдавать предпочтение службам безопасности», — сказал один из них.

Интернет-репрессии уже уронили рейтинги Путина рекордно с 2018 года, а также вызвали сильнейший за 8 лет всплеск недовольства властями — от внутренней и внешней до экономической и социальной политики.

В ответ Кремль сменил методику подсчета рейтингов Путина, и они снова «поползи» вверх. Так, по данным ВЦИОМа, на неделе, завершившейся 17 мая, работу президента «одобряли» 69,4% россиян — на 3,8 пункта больше, чем в конце апреля, когда официальный рейтинг Путина установил минимум с начала войны (65,6%).

Путин еще в 2017 году поручил создать для России де-факто «отдельный интернет» — с собственной систему корневых серверов доменных имен (DNS), «дублировала» уже существующую, была бы независима от контроля международных организаций и защищала бы в том числе российских пользователей от «целевых воздействий». Спустя год появился закон о «суверенном рунете», который существенно расширил полномочия Роскомнадзора по управлению трафиком внутри страны.

В 2019 году Путин утверждал, что Россия «не движется» в сторону «закрытия» интернета, не планирует ограничивать его работу и что «суверенный интернет» и «свободный интернет» не противоречат друг другу.

Спустя 7 лет, в феврале 2026 года, Путин подписал закон, разрешающий ФСБ отключать россиянам связь и обязывающий операторов незамедлительно выполнять приказы спецслужб об интернет-блокировках.

Блокировки интернета продвигает ФСБ, но российский режим во многом сохраняет довоенную форму: в нем остались довольно влиятельные технократы, остались крупные корпорации, от которых зависит наполнение бюджета — курс на тотальный цифровой контроль реализуется без их одобрения и вопреки их желанию, пишет старший научный сотрудник Берлинского центра Карнеги по изучению России и Евразии

Возникает вопрос — кто кого, считает Становая: «Нынешняя ситуация толкает ФСБ на более жесткие действия. Само по себе сопротивление элиты провоцирует еще более жесткий ответ силовиков, заставляет их удвоить усилия по перестройке системы под себя. Ответом на публичные возражения лоялистов будут новые репрессии».

Серьёзно? Microsoft фактически запретил своим инженерам использовать ИИ (Claude Code). Причина довольно шокирующая: «Стоимость использования ИИ превысила стоимость найма человека», что полностью переворачивает все прежние предположения об внедрении ИИ.

Engineers loved it and adoption exploded. But then the invoices arrived.

Token-based pricing means every query, every code review, every debugging session costs money. At scale across 100,000 engineers, the numbers became so large that Microsoft issued an internal order to cancel nearly all Claude Code licenses by end of June and force everyone onto their own cheaper tool instead.

The company that invested $5 billion in Anthropic just told its own people to stop using Anthropic's product because it costs too much.

Uber's story is even worse...

Their CTO Praveen Neppalli Naga told The Information that the budget he planned for the full year was "blown away already" by April.

Uber had rolled out Claude Code in December 2025. By March, 84% of their 5,000 engineers were using it with 70% of all committed code coming from AI systems.

Heavy users were burning $500 to $2,000 per month each. Naga himself spent $1,200 in a single two-hour demo session.

The company had even built internal leaderboards ranking engineers by how much AI they used. They literally gamified the spending and then ran out of money.

Now look at what Nvidia's own VP of applied deep learning Bryan Catanzaro said to Axios last month. Direct quote:

"For my team, the cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees."

This is a VP at the company that SELLS the chips saying that using AI is more expensive than paying humans.

Think about what this means for the entire AI narrative.

Every CEO on every earnings call for the past two years has said the same thing:

AI will make us more efficient, reduce headcount, and cut costs.

The stock market rewarded every company that said it.

Fired workers, stock goes up. Announced AI adoption, stock goes up.

But the actual companies deploying AI at scale are discovering the math doesn't work. The MORE employees use AI, the HIGHER the bill.

Goldman Sachs forecasts a 24x increase in token consumption by 2030 as companies adopt AI agents. Gartner just published a report showing that even though individual token prices will drop 90% by 2030, total enterprise AI costs will go UP because agents consume exponentially more tokens per task than basic tools.

Meta built an internal dashboard called "Claudeonomics" to track which employees use the most AI. Amazon started pushing engineers to "tokenmaxx," their internal term for consuming as many AI tokens as possible.

Both companies are spending hundreds of billions on AI infrastructure this year alone.

And Microsoft, the company that bet its entire future on AI, just told 100,000 engineers to stop using the tool they liked best because the per-token bills got out of control.

The companies building AI are telling investors it saves money. The companies using AI are finding out it costs more than the humans it was supposed to replace. And even the company that makes the chips just admitted it through its own VP.

This is the gap nobody on Wall Street is pricing in.

$725 billion in AI infrastructure spending this year across Big Tech. And the first companies to actually deploy these tools at scale are already pulling back because the economics don't work.

On pure physics, the critique is fair: a conventional payload of ~100 kg simply doesn’t match the destructive scale of systems like Iskander or heavy cruise missiles (500–1000 kg warheads). The blast footprint is smaller. But that’s where the simple math ends.

**1. Interception: effectively a losing game**
Terminal speeds of ~2–3 km/s turn the target into something most tactical air defenses can’t realistically handle. This isn’t a drone or a cruise missile — it’s a ballistic object coming down from near-space. If it’s inbound, it’s likely getting through.

**2. Not surface damage — deep penetration**
High velocity converts into penetration. Instead of detonating on the surface, the payload punches through structures and transfers energy (or detonates) inside. For hardened targets — bunkers, command posts — that’s a different threat profile.

**3. The real trigger: uncertainty**
Any ICBM is, by default, a nuclear delivery system. Early warning systems don’t read payload labels. The trajectory looks identical to the opening phase of a nuclear strike. Every launch forces worst-case assumptions — and compresses decision time to minutes.
