Ah, ok.
I do consider fish a separate food category.
I can imagine fish much cheaper than vegetables in places like that, but land meat would surprise me.

Lascio i barattoli a freddare e poi li metto direttamente in frigo.

Ovviamente non possono essere conservati a lungo.

I would expect a lot of fish in those places rather than meat, that's strange.
Was is hunted meat, locally grown or imported?

I don't know about the US, but I have friends who told me that vegetables over there are a bit of a luxury.
Then again, I'm not so convinced this is true... I cannot imagine that eating in a restaurant is cheaper than cooking at home.
When I cook I generally spend less money than in the cheapest fast food here.
I can imagine that they have cheaper fast foods and more expensive groceries, but do they really eat fast food every day?

Really?
In Italy we get cheap vegetables below 1€, normal ones below 2€ and expensive ones for less than 3€.
Cheap meat (the interiors) start at around 6-7€ per kilo. Except chicken, which can be cheaper and even reach 3.5€ per kilo for a full one, however you have to consider the weight of bones.
Legumes can be found at around 2€ per kilo dried.

In Slovenia and Spain the situation is quite similar.
In Poland I have noticed some very cheap sausages and pastet, but I doubt anyone with enough buying power to afford something else would buy those things often.
Vegetables were still cheaper.

What areas of the world are you talking about?

Ma... In che senso?

Dietro il bancone c'è un cinghiale?
Si servono farmaci a base di cinghiale?
Si offrono farmaci specifici per cinghiali?

Etiopia, guerra

Yes, definitely HR was not doing a great job and should have done something to help her and her colleagues to have a better experience.
I do not agree with you, I don't see how sending a message over Instagram to ask a colleague out could be considered harassment.
Sure, if someone did so persistently that would be unpleasant; but receiving a message once doesn't really create any kind of problems to you: you can simply say no and go on.

This is my opinion; why would you classify that as harassment?

Stories of good people...

A long time ago when i was 19 years old, i moved to an apartment in Washington state. One roommate had me questioning the choice i just made, while the other was a saving grace. Bruce was one weird guy to say the least, but Brant was pretty much like a brother i never knew i had. Long story short, my money dried up after a few months, i couldn't find steady work and i was riding the bus or walking at times to see the lady i moved there for. Brant helped me out when he wasn't working, he took me to job interviews, we played video games, he introduced me to his friends and gave me a ride when i asked him. I normally gave him some gas money, but he wouldn't always accept it.

He treated me like we've been friends since grade school and then the day i was returning home came. We got in his truck and on the way to the airport he told me he was going to play me some real music. He put this song on and we didn't say a word the whole way and just vibed to this. We then arrived and i got out and walked around the truck and i shook his hand and thanked him for being there for me. I walked away and looked back with a nod and wave and that was the end of the journey and the last time i saw him or spoke to him again. This song will always remind me of that moment and I'll never forget it.

Thanks for reading my story if you cared to, it just made long forgotten memories begin to flow for me.

This was the act that started the war: people were angry because Catholicism was being forced on them, this they captured two government officials and threw them out of a window.
A rebellion started and a bunch of countries entered the war due to several interests.
