Più in generale, non prettamente dimensione della singola istanza ma di Mastodon in sé.

Mi piace mastodon perché le comunità sono piccole ed interconnesse per interessi.
Si ha molto anonimato e questo previene cascare in discussioni con amici che si conosce.
Sostanzialmente questi sono i punti di forza.
Qualora diventasse molto grande dubito che porterebbe a grosse migliorie rispetto ai social commerciali.
Anche se è vero che la mancanza di pubblicità porta a spingere meno sui discussioni su argomenti divisivi.
Per ora, la maggior parte della gente è aperta alla discussione ed a idee differenti, il che aiuta a parlare apertamente di tutto.

Forum di ampio respiro non funzionano mai, bisogna specializzarsi per trovare utenti interessati e che partecipino.
Se volete posso scrivere un po' di chimica o di statistica e modellizzazione.
So fare cose ma non sono abbastanza bravo per scrivere guide.
Per queste cose preferisco un forum, un wiki ha bisogno di una gestione migliore.

Congratulations Ivan.
Despite the very awful quality and barely amateurish presentation of this discussion you were able to show your deep knowledge and dedication to this topic.
It's a bit annoying that you were interrupted while talking about the bigger picture, that was quite interesting.
I didn't like how the whole talk was just focused on technical details and privacy when you instead detailed much bigger problems with the current social network situation and have shown to have worked on it and understood how it works.
I am interested in your views over this and in how you think that bonfire will solve those problems.
I've been reading the blog for sometime but never seen some detailed description of this.
Did you ever present a talk about this topic? If you didn't I'd be pleased if you were to prepare one.
I tried sometime ago to subscribe to the bonfire beta but something failed in the process... I'll try again!

I recently moved to Galicia, which is the Spanish region most similar to Portugal.
A lot of shops are not mapped here, except in the center of the cities; thus I assume that is why you are not finding many matches.

L'altro giorno ho riletto il capitolo della volpe del piccolo principe.

Using the -i option to mv and cp is always a good idea if you're not sure whether the files already exist or not in the destination Then at least it will warn you an give you a chance. You might even alias it.
mv -i file.txt ../Documents/

There's plenty of spare capacity in Europe for agriculture; it doesn't make it any less unethical though.

It is difficult to asses problems that might arise with land use.
That is why it would be preferable to develop third generation feedstocks as soon as possible; those would solve the problems with land use

The plan is quite bad if it doesn't explicitly prohibit the use of first generation feedstocks.
All is well, until you start burning food when there's people starving.
I'm not saying that not using food as fuel will solve world hunger, but it's just a plain insult towards other people who don't have it.
