@levisan i have a bad habit of sorta explaining my jokes after i make them (or hear them). “yeah, we got it” my wife says. i’m not fully sure why i do it. it’s not because i think others aren’t smart enough to get it. i think i’m trying to confirm whether what i got out of it is what other people did too, since i seem to perceive and communicate things differently so often

buried my friend and former bandmate michael nicholson on thursday. he had cancer back when we recorded the salvation navy, and was clear of it a decade ago. but it came back with a vengeance.

died last friday at hospice in brantford. left behind a wife and 9 year old child. brutal stuff.

in one of my dreams last night, i was talking about playlists with someone using spotify and they asked me if there was such a thing as "apple itunes music" anymore. so i gave a breakdown of spotify vs. apple music. i still remember the specific points i made too. yikes

@mike yeah, we have prime and access to a friend’s disney+, but fairly rarely watch via those services either. most often i end up watching via free (as in pizza *and* speech) sites to avoid the rigmarole and ickiness. canceled netflix some time ago. tbh if this was supplied by the major streaming services, that could be the killer feature that would get me to come back

@mike well they don’t support disney or warner bros content “due to an agreement with the studios” so that makes sense. thought that wording seemed odd. boy, am i the only one who didn’t know about these guys? hah
