So, #AWS #cloudformation vs #AWSCLI. Looks to be ending up the same as Azure #ARM vs #AzureCLI. If you already have the template, and deploy it once, it is good. But developing CLI scripts is quicker (debug one step at a time, rather than all at once). And templates run into the same dead ends: e.g. decides it needs to recreate the entire subnet, so it attempts to, but runs into an IP address conflict with the existing one, and the whole thing stops. There are things/changes that declarative approaches just can't do, and you need to use migrations (CLI scripts).

So another good thing out of the #ogl snafu: the #brp system from @Chaosium has been released under the #orc instead of the crappy limited licence they previously had (that prevented mixing the #ttrpg with public domain sources like Arthurian myth or Cthulhu). @ketan Percentage change is a bit misleading of a metric. If a denier had 1 follower, and now 5, that's a 400% increase ... but Greta has 6 million followers (and PeterDClack is saying it is suspended), so a 10% increase for her is 600,000, and completely overwhelms those 4 extra deniers.

Think about all those blacksmiths that spent years honing their craft, and then nobody wanted horseshoes any more.

The crux is we can now do is a few days what took a month. In my mind that means 25 extra days of leisure.
