MILESTONE!!! I went out to dinner and when I came back home this stinker WAS ON THE COUCH! He has not been able to get on the furniture in months! This is excellent progress!!!

There are people working next door, my neighbor across the street is moving out, and I have had several deliveries today and it is absolutely KILLING #Rufus that none of these people are here to play with him.
#Rufus' arthritis is really bothering him today. Poor lil guy.
I recently ordered a new blanket for myself. I ended up really liking it - so much so that I ordered a second one to keep on the couch. Except when I ordered the second one I accidentally ordered a twin instead of a Queen.
So now #Rufus and I have matching blankets.
#Rufus had a close encounter of the meow kind.
#Rufus is sleeping the sleep of the innocent.
#Rufus got an early xmas present today (he managed to destroy his old bed after six years.)
I am quite happy with this purchase, seeing him KNOCKED. THE. FUCK. OUT. Normally, when I get off the couch he wakes up to see what I am doing. Today - he did not budge.
I really do not have any extra money laying around and yet here I am considering ordering #Rufus an ugly xmas sweater.
Someone needs to take away my check card.
Even though #Rufus can't get up on the bed anymore, I still sleep this way...
#Rufus likes to survey his surroundings and calculate the most likely place that he will get stepped on and then lay there.
I have not stepped on him lately but I often find myself Parkouring my way around him.

Day 6
#HappyThanksgiving everyone! Not much to report today as we have only been awake for 28 minutes. But he seems to be in a good mood. I got him to eat a full meal last night (even if it was hamburger and not his dog food), and I took him for a car ride, which usually is his favorite thing in the world. Getting him up and down his stairs was not easy but he managed. I am not sure how much he actually enjoyed the ride though. Normally he sits at the window but last night he just laid down in the back, not able to see anything. We'll see if future rides change.
As for Thanksgiving it is going to be a quiet one, just he and I. I had planned on having a friend come into town but with everything going on I decided it would be better if we rescheduled for another time.
