mpaa: you wouldn't... steal a car 😏
me: gonna stop you right there hoss, you're conflating personal with private property. personal property is something owned for use by an actual person, private property is resources exploited for profit by a capitalist. I would not steal a car, but only because doing so would deprive a person of a thing they were using without their consent. intellectual property is always private property and "stealing" it in a digital medium is victimless.

Are there any servers implemented in or ? I’ve found them in Ruby, Rust, and PHP but I’m very surprised there’s almost nothing in the fediverse implemented in one of the most popular languages in the industry.

A big shout out to the one person who did more to stock interest in federate social media in the last few days.

I was thinking that the fediverse needs to offer 'Mastodon' servers written in other languages, eg , but it turns out I just needed to learn more. What I found is that there are ActivityPub servers written in a wide variety of languages. What I'm on a quest for now is the absolute lowest cost server to maintain, eg. server less, like on cloudevents, google cloudfunctions, or AWS lambda? That way maintainers wouldn't have to pay for running a server when it's idle.

I'm using multiple Mastodon accounts until I figure out which aspect I like best. quote.org is for my tech stuff.

I have a couple of ideas I'd like to explore for Mastodon. One is being able to run (and federate) instances anonymously via . The other is lightweight, low cost instances via and
