The EarthArXiv #preprint service now has a Mastodon presence: @eartharxiv It's an automated bot tooting every newly accepted #EarthScience paper. Author supplied keywords are converted into hashtags so following things like #Geology will get you subdomain specific papers. #openScience
The bot is a work in progress. Feel free to send me ideas for improvement.

Something I learnt about only recently (it may have been on here): for many arxiv preprints, if you replace the "x" in the url with a "5", you will get a nice accessible html 
version!
