It's a bummer that I can't follow people on mastodon.art from (and I assume they can't follow me). Not quite enough to make me migrate yet because I can at least subscribe to them.

@wood @peterdrake Yes, mastodon.art blocks qoto.org. Qoto is one of the most connected servers around because of our no-block stance.

@trinsec @peterdrake if other instances block us because of their ToS, wouldn’t that make us less connected? Or is it just a handful that block us?

@wood @peterdrake
No, @freemo has explained it to us before in qoto.org/@freemo/1082596116280

The result is that we see more than the ones who block heavily as they also usually get blocked in return.

We don't have that many blocks against us at all. It just draws your attention because mastodon.art is one of the bigger ones and if you're heavily interested in art that might be a bummer.

My suggestion? Create another account elsewhere for art stuff if you want to interact with mastodon.art. Nobody's saying you're restricted to just one account. :)

@trinsec

Exactly, that’s why I have multiple accounts to see the various global feeds.
