As I have shared the repository publicly so we all have access,
Would people be able to follow me on GitLab so I can add people to the repository then hopefully make it Private, not sure how ot make it private at this point, but It must do-able.
It means you then HAVE to sign up here, be active before gaining access to it.

People can signup for gitlab accounts without needing an account here. Though because we give top priority to accounts here it is a good idea to also create an account here, even if its not used to post. But not really required.
Ah ok, no problem, is it still possible to switch it from public to private though?
You can change teh access level to the repo at any time if you are the owner.
I will do that if it still allows others here to access it, just thought it gives me more control over who can download or interact with it.
