If anyone else did this and lied on their CV they would be disciplined and sacked by their employer.

So why do politicians seem to get away with it, or think they can.

In someways,, the COVID is over stuff is similar to these conflicts in that no longer in the news, no longer happening.

I would hope that the Fediverse can help to change all that, as we can keep sharing what is happening right now.

When the taliban retook Afghanistan, there was a huge earthquake in Haiti, the former took over the news, the latter was briefly mentioned than forgotten about until refugees arrived in the US, then that hit the headlines which ended up more that the were there illegally rather than trying to flee a natural disaster.

@folduptoys Agreed, we can demonstrate that we understand concepts etc by using them.

Teach people the baics, reading, writing and arithmetic, then use theseto encourage further learning.

If you can read and comprehend then you have the potential to learn pretty much everything.

However thanks to the education system the employers insist that people have certain grades so the two are linked perhaps

This is why we need to be able to teach more people to code, so there are more people to maintain this software, rather then putting more burden on existing developers.

Agreed, we need to end this idea that items have a shelf life of when they are the in thing to have, then just chuck them away when the next big thing comes around.

Saying that, we have old,perfectly useable furniture at home, and still use it, why get rid of a perfectly good table,

We still have pots, pans, dishes etc from years ago, still being used as they are still useable, you eat off a plate does it matter how OLD that plate is, surely it is the food that counts.
