Is scientific peer-review a failed experiment? This essay (from a psychologist) makes the case for ditching pre-publication peer review. There do seem to be a lot of parallels between the arguments for pre-publication peer review and the argument for suppressing online misinformation (and the related issue of censorship). Maybe if we can solve the problem for science, we can solve it more generally.

Ah that makes more sense, I think it would work with screens attached to a telescope being able to switch between mono and red, would be handy, but that would need some research.;
@newt Ah ok, I know there are different settings on devices, For astronomy the night mode is red, for example.
Lets hope lessons will be learned from this, however how much does the current staffing problem play in to this.

I would also guess, given blue light affects sleep, this would be less applicable to a mono screen so may not have the same adverse problems.
