Almost everything I post on Mastodon gets at least a reply, and often a conversation. On Bluesky and Threads, that’s rare. Again. I have many more followers here, but it was true even when I didn’t have many. It’s just a different culture. People elsewhere seem to be waiting for those services to evolve more, while people here are actually using what we have.
I actually get this,
They were in violation of similar laws several years ago too. Proving nothing has changed.
I've been saying for years: People are sitting in jail right now on deepfaked evidence. We just won't find out until they're exonerated 50 years from now and given like $200 for their trouble.
Someone once registered a throwaway email with one of my nicknames and sent a bomb threat from it. If cops and a judge fell for that, they'll fall for a deepfake. Every time.
Yess, lol, they will deny this of course and probably blame the previous Labour government or someone else. Not themselves despite having 13 + years of running the country, or should that be ruining the country.
UK ‘in violation of international law’ over poverty levels, says UN envoy
Poverty levels in the UK are “simply not acceptable” and the government is violating international law, the United Nations’ poverty envoy has said ahead of a visit to the country this week, when he will urge ministers to increase welfare spending.
Maybe this explains why Braverman is not too bothered about the thousands of people in Gaza being made homeless.
Hopefully those in power are listening as we are watching them too/

Exactly. Friendica can be used as an RSS aggregator. Posts then appear in my private timeline.
This is how I organise my podcasts, for example, or get sources into my feed that are not (yet) represented in the Fediverse.
Thanks
