I have really found that, people can have intellectual discussions here, same as with science forums,
I wonder if that is actually a barrier for a lot of people, to get the most out of being here you HAVE to engage. Not that having a barrier such as that is a bad thing, if it gets people to change their mindset, it is a good thing.

Twitter is now an insecure platform, haemmorhaging security experts. It could haemmorhage your DMs, through leak or sale.

We do seem to be creating a buzz on here, and that should, in time attract people, however big tech has a knack for getting in the way, changing their algorithms to make it harder to promote, so we need to call out this on here, to expose what they are doing

If you are just joining Mastodon here are a few tips to fully integrate.
Mastodon is best used with some electronic doof doof music on.
Always ask how the weather is in Bruges.
The weirder your haircut the more followers.
Constantly tell people how much you love Tintin and Eurovision.
Knight Rider was merely a side project. The Hoff is more about musical expression.
Keep in mind I am relatively new here, but so far all these steps seem to have helped me greatly.
