Everything is open to interpretation, the story of fire and brimstone from god has some truth, well in the fact they have found glass in the area, thing is that glass was caused by meteors or similar hitting the sand, superheating the sand, forming glass, so the science and investigations explains it. At the time, it would have been terrifying for the people, so saying it was a punishment from god at the time, would make sense to people at that time.

Based on their attitude we could assume that the word Mormon is just a simple misspelling of the word Moron which would be far more descriptive.

Could be seen as offensive and insulting but no more so than their attitude towards relationships.

On the topic of puberty, this is a difficult time as it is, I would hope these kids are given just as much access to mental health support as these drugs. Body changes are kinda bad enough at 13, but at 7 must be pretty scary if no one else is going through the same, on the other end of the scale being the only person in the class not going through puberty would be awkward and lead to bullying too.

So is there a correlation between states that practice religion more widely and these policies. ?

We have issues with the Church of England, they will bless Gay Marriage but not actually do the ceremony or something.

I kinda understand their teachings apparently outlaw being gay I just wondered if that is actually explicit in scripture or has been added over the years as people just object.

This must cause a lot of problems when people from different states cross each others path and find very conflicting and strongly held views don't exactly co-exist easily.
