Trump publicly declaring today that he would encourage Russia to attack our NATO allies under certain circumstances and the South Carolina audience cheering should be the end of the road, not only for Trump, but for the GOP and the MAGA movement.

But it won't be.

@FatsGordo

RowRow Row your boat seems have become synonymous with horror movies

The problem is we expect incontrovertible proof from scientists and accept any old bullshit from politicians.

@jensimmons

Something tells me that W3C specs are no longer seen as useful or needed, the idea of standards and specs is to avoid this very issue.

@zleap. My father was a college history instructor. Also a WWII veteran. I know a bit about Hitler. I also know that Ukraine has actually been in existence longer than Russia.

@TheOldGuy

Problem is a vast number of people are not that well-educated, don't remember WWII or at least those who went through it,

The result is the total ignorance, that the rest of just despair at,

Meta are too powerful and can easily manipulate elections

Meta is downranking/hiding political content on Threads. The company says Threads will “not recommend any content/accounts that post about politics.”

Here’s the issue: what counts as “politics” is often any news abt people who have had their whole existence politicized, such as news about Black people, LGBTQ people, disabled ppl, women, etc. Climate scientists, public health experts etc also considered “political” axios.com/2024/02/09/meta-poli

I just worry how many americans will think what was said by Putin as perfectly fine, and vote in November accordingly.

Lack of education clearly is a factor, anyone educated sees the differences between fact and fiction.

🤡Tucker Carlson announced the interview with Putin as "historic" - but instead he received from the dictator a lesson in false Russian history, delusions about the denazification of Ukraine and the war unleashed by NATO.

That is, the usual Russian propaganda that justifies the invasion and that the whole world has been hearing for almost two years.

This is what the American presenter himself said after the interview with Putin:

"I'm not quite sure what I think about this interview... Putin is not the kind of person who gives a lot of interviews. He doesn't know how to explain himself... He clearly spends a lot of time in a world where he doesn't have to explain anything to anyone," Carlson said.

@mayadev

I agree, with that and I am not that good a programmer, sure for some code you can copy paste, people still need to understand how the code works,

lazy programmers are going to be a real problem going forward.
