@ticktok That's ridiculous.
Every time I run into a major bug, I start getting mad "What the hell! I paid good money for.... oh wait, no I didn't."
@LouisIngenthron yea, when I first started using FOSS I didn't really understand, and unfortunately on a bad day I posted some stupid things about a foss project on social media. I've learned better, apologized(and got a better prescription) and now try and contribute when I can, but I know I've seen quite a bit of vitriol in the git issues tab of some foss projects still.
@LouisIngenthron Sure ya do... yourself for not reading the manual and memorizing it... how dare you!
@freemo That may apply to some things, but not crash bugs.
@LouisIngenthron Sure it does.. its open-source... if a bug exists its yoru fault for running the code without reading it first and fixes any bugs... duh!
@freemo @LouisIngenthron Hopefully AI will be blamed when it pukes out scraped code.
@AmpBenzScientist @freemo @LouisIngenthron
Nope, never corporate fault. It's always user error.
Thats because it is always peoples fault.. corporations dont have their own thought, so even then its people :)
@freemo @lucifargundam @LouisIngenthron Ah yes, just like the beginning of The Grapes of Wrath. I have a bulldozing problem and I am powerless to stop bulldozing. I need a higher power to save me from not bulldozing houses and that higher power is a bank.
@AmpBenzScientist @freemo @LouisIngenthron
Enter cryptoBros. Will they help? Probably not.
@lucifargundam @freemo @LouisIngenthron The tortoise is coming.
@AmpBenzScientist @freemo @LouisIngenthron
In a volatile market? Pointless
@LouisIngenthron but man that doesn't stop people from attacking the developers personally.(I have unfortunately been guilty of this before.)
