anyone has an actual experience with a vertical mouse?

@arteteco Me I have one and use it exclusively on my desktop.. what do you need to know?

@freemo well if it's actually more comfortable, and if you like it basically. Just broke my mouse wheel beyong repair, so I'm shopping for a new one

@arteteco if you feel a regular mouse is uncomfortable on your wrist then a vertical mouse will be more comfortable. However if an ordanary mouse is already comfortable for you i dont think youll notice a huge difference in comfort. For me neither are uncomfortable but a vertical mouse is more natural feeling for sure.

The downside is you cant switch hands on a vertical mouse. Otherwise I find it marginally superior. Its also bigger so less suited as a portable mouse.

@freemo thanks, yeah I'm feeling a bit of stress on the wrist lately, I can try it out and see how it goes

@arteteco It will certainly alleviate that for you. I try to minimize my need on the mouse all together so i get less strain in general. I use tiling window managers and spacemac to keep me confined to the keyboard side as much as possible

Twelve years ago, I started getting severe pain in my right-hand wrist. In short, cupital tunnel syndrome. I bought a vertical mouse and have never looked back. Then, such mice were relatively expensive. This hasn't been the case for several years. However, you may have to pay a premium for a left-hand versions as there's less choice in the market.
