The vast majority of users want #2, and as we all know it is critical for hte physical safety of our LGBTQ community... clearly Gargron couldnt give a shit that his stance would put our LGBTQ community in physical danger.... sad.

Well "forced" might be a strong word. But @Gargron runs joinmastodon and ultimately he is the one who stated our policy is unacceptable for listing there.
