Would you want to federate with Twitter? #fediverse is alight with this.
Most say No way, José. Me included, stay away please.
I'm not sure I see any issue with federating with them. People can block the instance if they wish. But I have no moral objection to being able to hear or interact with a twitter user.
Two benefits I see with Twitter federating:
1) Easier for Tweeters to leave Twitter for another instance
2) Greater reach and engagement ability to and from politicians.
Your feed can only be filled with bots if you or people you follow are politicians and/or repost politicians' posts.
