I've collected some #Mastodon 🦣 #instances to help with the #TwitterMigration focused in #inclusion, #accesibility and #minorities. They look like safe spaces for most of us. I'd appreciate the boost and new recommendations to add to the list:

🔗🇬🇧 ableism.rip/about - space to fight ableism
🔗🇬🇧 disabled.social/about - for disabled people
🔗🇬🇧 neurodifferent.me/about - neurodiversity and neurominorities
🔗🇬🇧 iaccessibility.social/about - interest in assistive technology
🔗🇬🇧 blacktwitter.io/about - history and voices for black people
🔗🇬🇧 lgbt.io/about - for LGBT+ and allies
🔗🇬🇧 queer.party/about - queer-oriented instance
🔗🇬🇧 tech.lgbt/about - for tech workers, academics, students, and others interested in tech who are LGBTQIA+ or Allies

Please boost to reach more people!

@passis Boosting to help spread the word, Mastodon is really starting to come in to it's own in terms of equality and diversity, great stuff.

Ok, well i am happy to boost information on other instances. I am on Qoto as it is a science basedinstance.

@zleap
boosting instances is great in general, i have no issue with that. i just knew about this particular drama ;)

Thanks, I am happy being here and to point people here to qoto. if people block us, then it potentially stops users seeing interesting content.

I said this before our blocking policy is NOT an issue. If i see content that I find offensive, I will block / report it.

Compared to a few months ago, things have calmed down immensely back then there was a LOT more racist content on the fedi, Not to mention rather questionable images (which have been discussed it a cultural thing yes, but we can simply block it).

@freemo @zleap @bonifartius I completely understand your point and we're facing something similar on another instance I'm part of. Even though I agree with your arguments about banning, I can't take the reason away from those who are afraid. Fear is something to be sheltered, included and not excluded, but unfortunately those who fear, for whatever reason, tend to exclude what they're afraid of, and I can't judge them for doing so, even though I don't agree with them.

@passis

For the record I have no issue with any instance that wants to block for well informed reasons. I will say tech.lgbt is just generally a bad choice since they have been known to lie in this regard and generally are very toxic and mistreat many of their own members.

The other instances there are good choices though.

@zleap @bonifartius

@freemo @passis @bonifartius

I fully back that standpoint. It is important to gather evidence, arguments and then weigh everything up before making a decision.

@passis @freemo @bonifartius

I think we should just carry on, as long as the people here produce, favourite, boost content that is positive and helps promote inclusion for all then there is less reason to block us.

Over time let things change for the better through positive interactions.

@zleap I agree, though i would say tthat has always described us, its hardly anything new. But yes I agree.
