various apps have also various character post limits, so if one would like to write a long post on qoto, then one will have to write it in a 3rd party app and copy-paste it into the mastodon app of one's choice.
Or just use QOTO's client directly which does not have the limit (the website can be installed as an android app).
The Tusky app for android respects Qoto's longer character limits.

I think in general if people do this, they number the sections e.g

to help the reader.

Youa re correct... typically mastodon will display any number of characters (although it will collapse down to a read more to make you expand it)... It only limits the number of characters you can post.
