@moth_ball @Moon the breaking hemoglobin into bilirubin is why your shit is brown in the first place, also why bruises turn brown/yellow over time. The more you know!x2

I've had my Steam Deck for about 2 months now and I must say it's met my high expectations. After using it only as mobile console/laptop a week ago I finally bought a dock and the way it now acts as the living room couch console (with my entire Steam, GOG etc libraries) but also supports desktop applications, desktop mode, keyboard and mouse is sublime. Wanna stop playing and watch some videos? Sure, here's your actual desktop browser with your extensions like adblock so that you can watch them in peace. Wanna use a search function? You can just type on a keyboard instead of clicking through a virtual one with arrows for an hour.

And of course it doesn't try to force you to use a single vendor-controlled overpriced games store or buy some shitty, way overpriced controller that feels like a chinese knock-off of an actual controller (*cough* Switch *cough*), it's the first console, I think ever, that's actually yours, letting you freely choose the hardware and software you want to play with.

It's a total game changer, a chemotherapy for the console market's cancer. I love it.

@sim @Moon I wouldn't say that's what "my war" means. You can interpret it in multiple ways, but usually it means something like "war that directly affects me".

@sim @Moon that's what I understood since you used it to defend collecting, posting and gloating over snuff of said ordinary people and the horrors of war they experience.

@sim @Moon I'm just saying that using your qualifiers nearly no war ever was an ordinary people's war. Which I disagree with especially since from what I understood you're using this one's "not the ordinary people's war" status to make light of its horrors.

@sim @Moon every war, except maybe some revolutions, works like that. They're all ordinary people's wars as they are the ones fighting, losing their relatives, on at least one side losing their homes and birthplaces, and the ones most affected otherwise. No peasant has ever said "you know what, fuck these people far away that I've never seen so much I'm willing to die for it".

@algowatching >amateur
driving licenses make them trained and licensed "amateurs" at the least. And no, classifying someone driving their car normally without exceeding the limits with "intent to kill" is way too much of a mental backflip to be considered seriously. They considered 150km/h that because it's intentionally driving over limit and knowingly endangering others. Please refrain from such mental acrobatics that make all the activists for causes dear to you a laughing stock by association. I see these posts, and then see them some time later presented as "another proof that climate/anti-car-centric-cities activists are oversensitive manipulators". Hell, if I weren't so lucky and learned of the issue from that side I'd be pretty convinced, there's way too much of this, I've literally seen enough of this bullshit to guess the information you're omitting or straight-up twisting before even looking into the articles. This isn't helping your cause, it's harming it.

@algowatching and either way, "murder" implies intent. If someone didn't intend to kill other people then they "killed" them, no matter if by freak accident with no fault of their own or by bad judgement / incompetence / other at fault but unintentional causes.

@algowatching is my automatic translator wrongly translating the "Although some doctors had partially incorrectly or at least incompletely informed the accused about his suitability for driving" part? Sorry, I don't speak German.

@algowatching man, that's gotta be some kind of a superpower, correct, correct, correct and correct. It's almost as if these aren't magical mind powers but just a brain trained on, and really tired of, way too many of those outrage posts.

@algowatching lemme use my magical mind powers to guess the omitted details: the person that "murdered" the people with a SUV was in an accident by no or small fault of his own while the activist not only actively decided to be illegally a pain in the ass for everyone in the vicinity, but did it enough times previously to deserve that harshened nth offence sentence.

@Edwin085 that's funny on an additional level: "Damskie spodnie" means "female pants".

@jgg @freemo I assume they're similar more often than not, we spent thousands of years interacting with each other after all, unlike the bloody islanders :p
