@bibliolater I would think so. When I started diving i was extremely scared of deep water. Took me about 10 dives post training before the fear went away. I'd imagine the same would be true of cave diving.
@freemo @bibliolater A beta blocker might be beneficial because of the reduced adrenal response. It's not going to stop panic but it should help with the physical symptoms.
@freemo The caves without breathable air are instant death for free divers. It still sounds fun though and there are worse ways to go out.
the USA feels like a mental institution where virtually everyone has some sort of personality disorder... Anyone who thinks guns are the problem are completely disconnected with the reality, americans are so toxic and vile as a society I would expect them to be killing each other en masse regardless of access to guns or not.
@freemo Our society was fine on Benzedrine, whiskey and having a relaxing smoke. We need to go back to our roots.
We should also probably look into the times right before 9/11. There was mostly peace and hope. The culture of fear, among other things, has changed our society and I believe it's a major contributor to why we are unhinged. To put it simply, we have become accustomed to not being okay and that has distorted our perceptions.

@DerFetzer I'd recommend looking at an old UEFI/BIOS update image. It should have a few clues.
