Life's too short. Youth is over in the blink of an eye.

Some people know exactly what to do and have academic, professional and romantic success at an early age. Those popular people and those perfect couples; the prince and the princess.

Then there's the rest of us. If you belong to this group, consider yourself lucky if you get married with kids, but otherwise have a very boring life. This is the most common way of making it through safe.

If you're unlucky: prison, alcoholism, suicide, traffic accident, cancer, stroke; domestic abuse, mental disorder, disability, etc.

You don't decide to end up in that last group. No one wants to be in that group. So it's luck. It's a lottery. It's not fair.

Been craving snus less lately and my gums don't like it. I tried one anyway just now and it made me very lightheaded and my stomach started hurting. I think I've been using it less because I'm not reacting well to it anymore. I guess it's a good opportunity to quit using it altogether, as a friend of mine pointed out. There are certain kinds of abuse that your body tolerates less with time, as I've discovered.

@thor I liked General the most. I would put 3 portions in and go about my day. In my experience it helps with ADHD symptoms in a way that medication doesn't.

Does it cause negative health effects? I'm fairly certain that it does. The most concerning is vasoconstriction which can lead to injuries of joints. This is why power tools warn to not use them while or shortly after smoking.

(A nice day at the unemployment office...)

Unemployed: So, you guys are the government, right?

Case processor: Yes. 🙂

Unemployed: The government hires lots of people. Why don't you give me one of those jobs? 👉

Case processor: Haha, no! it doesn't work like that, I'm afraid. 😄

Unemployed: Why not? 😐

Case processor: You'll have to apply like everyone else. ☝️

Unemployed: But why wouldn't the government prioritise unemployed people when it tires to fill positions? 😬🤷‍♂️

Case processor: You would have to ask a politician about that. 😅

Unemployed: I tried, but they won't answer my emails. 💀

Acting carelessly is pretty easy when you don't feel that you matter, and never did, because no one ever invests in you.

@thor I've heard that UN Peacekeepers enjoy plenty of that activity where they get sent.

The older I get, the more of that activity I see. Apparently human trafficking is more profitable and less risky than drugs. Man's inhumanity towards man will never stop surprising me.

@freemo Boosted and commented. I saw Stage 1 and immediately paid close attention. Those Gentoo reflexes.

Please reboost!

@freemo If you aren't already on fediblock, you're not really participating in the fedi.

@ryan @freemo Wouldn't that make us a Confederation? I suppose that would sound wrong.
