@freemo @trinsec @khird @_foxaru I liked the "stem community" phrasing as an important pointer to why speech would be allowed, but not so much the "bad faith". Intentions matter but impact does also. Not sure that a psychopath ever acts in "bad faith". (But discount my opinions due to only being here about a week.)
@freemo Sorry to hear that. I saw a toot go by on federated, that said that some moderator on the social instance (I think) was being stressed out dealing with people who filed complaints about posts rather than just blocking them. What you are experiencing might be some other instances overreaction to their own stressors. I hope that you can take some deep calming breaths and wait until the dust settles. Us new happy people will remain and look forward to time to get acquainted with the elders here.

To this extent I'm really interested to know how the age breakdown of people on the #Fediverse. On one hand it would seem to make sense to me that most people here remember the "old internet" before the centralization and they're here to rekindle that flame of independence. On the other hand the youths are generally pretty up on this whole technology thing. I grew up on the internet and since then smartphones have become even more ubiquitous.

The use of ionising radiation must always be justified regarding the risk v benefit. No radiographer could justify x-raying migrant children to determine their age and it is good to see SoR speaking out against the suggestion that this should even be considered!
