@Talia_christine there are silver linings... they are trying to pass a law that would bar Travis Tritt from performing in public:
@msquebanh I would rather call a crackhead.
Unless I want someone or something shot...
@gbrockell , he may be the only SCOTUS judge impeached, but far from the only federal judge:
@elroy I had a "manager" for a part time bartending gig that wanted a nightly count of how many of each denomination of coins we had at the end of the night. It wasn't that we had more than maybe 10 bucks in change, or that we ever ran out, she was just strange. She used to get screaming mad over that change count.
@w7voa I feel confident that for every 1000 the Israelis kill, the Palestinians will kill one.
@DrRGST in general, draft dodgers are not bad folks. In particular, that draft dodger is a bad person, and exhibited his evil when he dodged the draft. It's a weird exception to the rule.
LA's lawsuit is as frivolous as it gets. The Supreme Court has made clear that journalists can keep and publish documents the government gives them, even by accident. https://ktla.com/news/city-of-los-angeles-sues-reporter-police-watchdog-group-after-release-of-lapd-officer-info/
@freemo I don't think there is any founding father who would have disagreed with my assessment. I am a solid supporter of the 2nd, BTW. I favor giving a shotgun and 50 rounds to the homeless and immigrants to defend themselves. From each other, vigilantes, and the state.
But there are limits. The insane should not be armed. Children should not be armed. The 2nd has limits.
@freemo any random Caucasian male over the age of 12, maybe. There is zero chance they would have allowed sales to women, Africans, or anyone that posed any credible threat to the state or propertied white men. That would include hand grenades to children. Who were, in most cases, not allowed to buy anything, although property could be held in trust for them.
@freemo I don't think even the most radical of the founding fathers would agree to giving hand grenades to 3 year olds. I would be hard pressed to find anyone who would support that now.
@trinsec I think the only middle ground is "your body, your choice, no exceptions."
@trinsec yes, I intentionally went for opposition. To highlight why rights are important. And to level the playing field when it comes to biological sex.
@trinsec it was. Over now... looks like 10 miles east of us got hit.
@trinsec the 2nd alternative is not an extreme case. The individual has a choice they can make. Donate or not. Any organ, any time they wish. I think the extreme case for the 2nd option is regulations saying they may not let anyone else use their body parts. Even the 1st option could go further... any infractions and you go straight to the organ banks.
@Catelli @Adam_Cadmon1 you forgot Rogue One.
@Adam_Cadmon1 38 Abbott and Costello movies... not sure how many Charlie Chan movies, or the Mikey Ronnie movies where he is the son of a judge... there are some long running movie series.
BS in Physics. Will not tolerate hate. I am active here and on Post.
