@Pat @trinsec , I don't think I have a firm understanding of the difference between 'fear' and 'obsessive thought.' I also seem to have a strange reaction to most fearful situations. I tend to get angry. With the cup, it is... apprehension? No anger.
It is a strange thing for me, But you got me thinking. Caffeine, or something I associate with "mouse" in some way. I will be altering my behaviour for the next 6 months trying to see what the trigger is. I still wonder what other things like this I have not noticed.
@Pat @trinsec , Ya know, that might be it. It doesn't help me identify irrational fears in myself when I don't know in advance the fear is irrational, but caffeine could be the trigger HERE. I have recently started having morning coffee with my wife, and the mouse in the cup thing wasn't present before.
The problem is, I had stuffed peppers for lunch. And they were GOOD. So I had 2 of them. And now I am uncomfortably full, and thinking 'just one more'.
OK, new plan. Just the mother's cats, and maybe Costco. RV place later on.
@godpod , I moved here for a reason, and blocked him there for a reason.
So far, I have managed to make coffee. And get lunch in the oven.
@mayaisloading make it fun again by adding risk. Start simple, no pot holders. Add dull knives and roller skates when you feel confident.
@marathon0 , that the World Cup reported the 3rd time a player has scored in five games as the FIRST time... I am disappointed in humanity. It isn't you, just a general malaise that I was expressing.

@knottedthreads , plan on driving. The weather may influence the best location. I started in North Carolina in 2017, picked a walmart parking lot in the middle of Tennessee the night before, and then drove home to Kentucky in the worst traffic EVER.

What kind of stuff would you put in your trailer for an eclipse? Giant magnifying glass? pin hole camera? binoculars? sunglasses? telescope?
On the agenda: Feed mom's cats. Go to the drug store. Investigate rebuildable camper trailers so I have a mobile place to stay in for the 2024 eclipse.
