@chrishudsonjr It would be pretty nuts to see the results if there was actually a bubble on every ballot to vote for "nobody".
@SecurityWriter Can you give some examples of "can't" actually being "won't"?
In my experience, "can't" usually stems from insurmountable problems like needing to use legacy hardware that breaks with newer software versions and has no modern counterpart.
A lot of "can't"s also boil down to "this third party vendor that is essential to my business won't, so I can't".

@ElleGray Wait, what? How can you advocate for red without blue?
@DrPsyBuffy Well, yeah, but they do that by rejecting pluralism.
It's been clear since at least the Afghanistan withdrawal that #Biden would seek re-election facing a uniquely hostile media environment and aside from ego and ambition, I don't know why he chose to do it. He's putting his whole legacy at risk along with our pluralistic democracy.
I don't think his age is a real problem. The legacy media's obsession dovetailing with and reinforcing the right's central line of attack is a huge one. #election2024
@JasonPerseus Yeah, funny how that's a mistake most of us make only once.
It's almost like Democrats don't want repeat donations.
@D_J_Nathanson Yeah, but that wasn't what I was asked.
@D_J_Nathanson Sounds about right. The one time I got called in for jury duty, I expressed concern that cops smoking drugs with criminals sounded like entrapment for drug crimes, and that was the end of my jury duty experience.
> Facebook, by virtue of its scale, is a mass media
In America, we don't revoke people's rights based on the size of their organization or how successful they are. Facebook's scale has no bearing on how your free speech rights are applied.
> Moreover, it is not “their megaphone” since they have built it with the laws, infrastructure and knowledge provided by the state (I.e. the people).
By that logic, literally nothing is owned by anyone. Everything ever made is built with the "laws, infrastructure, and knowledge provided by the state".
@hankg Not gonna lie, that looks like a really fun night right there.
@carnage4life Wait, that's an investment group?!? From the chart, I was guessing meme stock.
"I started with a rather non-consensus hypothesis: companies want to pay for their critical open source dependencies, but most projects are not selling them a legible way to do so."

@polotek That's... so simple and brilliant.
@abulsme The conversation happened and multiple dem lawmakers called for him to step down. You don't survive that, electorally. It's only his stubborn ego that's causing the continued damage.
@znetwork You don't have a "free speech" right to use Facebook's megaphone.
This isn't about free speech; it's about entitlement.
@yacc143 @MoiraEve In case it was unclear, my screenshot above is from New Mexico's official website hosting its laws, not Ballotpedia. I prefer to get my information from the original source.
And if you think the president doesn't get elected through a "general election" then you'll need to cite the bit of NM law that says that.
