Just did my first cross country (120nm) at night in ! KORL to KOCF back to KORL.

Most important lesson I learned? Don't at night under visual flight rules. I should wait until I get my instrument rating if I want to fly at night.

7) I got to see the sky break itself on a beautiful Illinois farm! During the total eclipse, roosters were crowing, crickets were chirping, and the cows all started to bunch up and move towards the barn!

The ring of ethereal silver fire in the sky was pretty mind-blowing too.

So, I have this little robot guy about a foot or two tall, from when I was a kid, and it's sitting on the floor of my foyer.

One day, my dog, while chasing after a ball, bumped the robot, and when he turned around, it was rocking back and forth from his bump.

He was terrified, and now he thinks it's alive, and every time he goes anywhere near it, he slows down and gives it a side-eye. It's hilarious. πŸ˜†

Trump Stock

The media, all morning: Trump stock sees huge surge!

The reality, just a few hours later:

This might be the most pathetic and desperate online ad I've ever seen.

So, Unity says their current pricing plan will end soon, forcing me to pay more to do less.

However, their own software says my current subscription is valid until 2119...

Made a biome map rain x heat to make sure the spread looks good.

I know it's a bit late for a , but I just finished the beer brewing level in my engine remake of my game !

Matt Gaetz got absolutely *roasted* by Hunter Biden during his testimony:

Look at that beauty! 15,714 points, all but six randomly placed, with a custom-written spherical algorithm to create 31,424 triangles.

I mean, it takes half an hour, but still, progress, right?

Bingo. The trick, as it turns out, is to start with an octahedron (although any uniform polyhedra should work, including a cube, but an octahedron just requires a point on each axis, so it's easiest to spawn). Since you want a uniform, edgeless surface, you need to start with one. Can't build it outwards like you can in a bounded 2D volume, so you have to build it inwards.

Couldn't find a triangulation implementation that could do what I needed it to in C#, so I wrote my own.

Got a 2D proof of concept working in just a couple hours with nothing more than a skim of the wikipedia article on the math, so I'm pretty happy with that.

Just need to expand it to work on a spherical surface now, which should be an interesting challenge.

This is actually kind of funny. If the GOP just had enough integrity to disavow an alleged child molester, there's a pretty good chance they'd still have enough unity to be able to pass House votes.
