I'm not an economist by any stretch, but if wages rise *with* inflation, then isn't inflation only bad for those with no wages?
Look, I get that marginalized communities are scared of the increase in far-right and outright fascist rhetoric, but enacting fascist laws to fight fascists is never going to be a good fucking idea.
The answer is not giving the government (which has fascists in it!) more power. The answer is #FreeSpeech and making sure that our arguments for inclusivity are more convincing than their arguments for hate.

Hey folks, I've seen a lot of talk going around about adblockers lately. I worked in the advertising technology and security industry for five years and the one core piece of advice I have is:
Holy fuck never give an advertiser your data. You cannot believe how bad it is. Don't. I run three layers of ad block protection and I'd run more if it was feasible. If you want to support creators give them money.
I just assumed it was because Wikipedia requires objectivity and Musk is objectively a jackass.

The fact that two former Trump attorneys have now confirmed — via guilty pleas — that Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election included criminal acts should be a much bigger story.
I wonder what difference, in the effect of inflation, there is between drugs that are illegal vs drugs that have been (relatively recently) legalized.

It's worth noting that the INTENDED lifespans of Voyager 1 and 2 were FIVE years. They've now been operating about half a century, a full order of magnitude more than anticipated. Probably the best use of plutonium ever.
One interesting thing I've noticed from watching primetime court shows is that there's a common tell for which party is *morally* guilty in the case. Regardless of whether they win or lose, afterwards they will always utter those immortal words: "It is what it is."
That fascinates me, because of all it implies.
It's crazy that I am currently pirating a series I pay to be able to stream just because VLC is easier to use and more reliable than their broken shitty streaming service.

For those who are just starting out in #ComputerScience / #Software / #SoftwareEngineering, just know: it gets easier.
Nobody gets coding at first. Some people can't get it at all. But most of us, with time and dedication, can wrap our minds around the idea of systems built upon systems built upon ones and zeroes.
Just wait. After time, with a bit of experience, you'll be able to do things that are like magic. The first time you see an error message pop up and know exactly what caused it before even reading it, you'll know what I mean.
